Tutorial by: Mythical Miniatures
Materials:
3 twist ties 5 1/2" long (these are the long kind that come with yard bags)
Colored construction paper (red, orange, yellow, green or your choice)
Acrylic Craft Paint (Brown, gold, hunter green, red or your choice at least 3 colors)
Leaf Punch (I used standard size Maple and Oak)
Glue
Tweezers
Step One:
Start with three twist ties, twist them together on one end.

Step Two:
Braid the three ties together into one long piece.

Step Three:
Form into a circle approximately 1" across. Set aside.

Step Four:
Take your colored construction paper and sponge paint lightly with your acrylic paint. (I've used white paper to better show the colors). You don't need to cover the paper completely. It's OK if the colors blend together.

Step Five:
After your paint has dried, punch out your leaves mixing the colors of your paper to give a nice variety of color.

Step Six:
Glue your first row of leaves flat to the wreath. Build up your wreath on to of the base leaf ring by dipping the edges only of leaves into a pool of glue. Do not glue them flat -- loose edges will look more realistic.

Step Seven:
Before the wreath is completely dry, push the outer edges of leaves down over the wreath form. This will cover the twist tie base and allow the leaves to stick up creating a more realistic look.

Finished wreath is approximately 2" across.
