The Arthur Dollhouse ~ Carrol Elf's Christmas Cottage
I stumbled across this dollhouse at a yard sale a couple of years ago. It wasn’t in the best condition, and a few pieces were missing — but for just $2, how could I pass it up? At the time I had no idea what I’d do with it, but I knew it had potential.
The inspiration for its transformation came unexpectedly. One day, a surprise package arrived in my mailbox from De, over at De-Lightful Minis. Inside was the most adorable miniature Christmas tree — a gift that instantly sparked an idea. Later, during a Christmas swap, De created a different miniature Elf for each of us. Mine turned out to be a charming little Caroling Elf.
That was the moment the story clicked: this dollhouse would become a Christmas-themed home for Carrol Elf himself.
According to legend (and a little imagination), Carrol Elf’s cottage sits right next door to Santa’s house at the North Pole. He directs Santa’s Elf Choir, bakes sweet treats, and still finds time to help with toy-making. His home is as cheerful and festive as his personality, filled with Christmas magic in every corner.
