Miniature Dollhouse Dolls
The "Soiled Dove" dolls were purchased, I gave them new clothes, hair and makeup. The Elise McKenna doll was commissioned from Angelique's Miniatures. My newest addition is Matilda, a little witch created by me.

Miniature Soiled Doves
Soiled Doves were so numerous by the 1850's that they may well have made up 25% of the female population of California. The "Doves" usually outnumbered respectable women in mining towns 25 to 1. Most towns got big enough to support regular brothels staffed by 4-5 women.

Elise McKenna Doll by Angelique's Miniatures
I have always loved the movie Somewhere in Time starring Jane Seymour and Christopher Reeves. Louise, of Angelique's Miniatures, created the "Elise McKenna" Doll, for me, capturing the moment during the play, Elise looks directly at Richard in the audience and delivers a soliloquy, which is not part of the script.
Somewhere In Time....
"The man of my dreams has almost faded now.
The one I have created in my mind.
The sort of man each woman dreams of in the deepest and most secret reaches of her heart.
I can almost see him now before me.
What would I say to him, if he were really here?
Forgive me, I have never known this feeling . . .
I've lived without it all my life.
Is it any wonder, then, that I failed to
recognize you?
You . . . who brought it to me for the first time.
Is there any way I can tell you how my life has changed?
Any way at all to let you know what sweetness you have given me? There is so much to say . . . I cannot find the words.
Except for these. . .I love you. Such would I say to him,. . . if he were really here."
