The Beacon Hill ~ A Gothic Victorian Dollhouse
The Dream Find
The Beacon Hill has always been my favorite dollhouse—at the very top of my most-wanted list. So when I found one on Craigslist for just $85, I couldn't believe my luck!
The basic structure was already assembled, and the seller included some extras—wallpaper, carpeting, miniature books and magazines, wood glue, electrical supplies, and a box of furnishings. Not everything was usable, but for $85, I wasn't complaining!
The Work Ahead
While the shell is together, there's still plenty of work to bring this Gothic Victorian beauty to life. I'll need to install the stairs, windows, trim, and shingles, finish the exterior, and of course tackle the interior rooms. But that's the fun part—taking this blank canvas and transforming it into the grand Victorian home it was meant to be.
There's something special about finding your dream dollhouse and knowing you get to be the one to complete its story.
