The Magnolia Dollhouse ~ The Potter's Cottage
When a Project Takes on a Life of Its Own
Originally, I envisioned this as a shabby chic beach cottage—all whites, blues, and breezy coastal charm. But as I started working on it, the house had other ideas. The colors, textures, and furnishings began steering me in a completely different direction, and I decided to follow where the project was leading me.
The result? The Potter's Cottage—a warm, earthy space filled with handmade pottery, creative energy, and the rustic charm of an artisan's home and workshop.
Sometimes the best miniature projects are the ones that evolve organically, teaching us to let go of our original plans and embrace what wants to emerge instead.
Project Status Completed February 2024! This house has come full way from its original vision to its final form as a cozy potter's cottage. Updated photos will be added to the gallery soon.
